DFW18 Schedule

The Fifth Annual David Foster Wallace Conference took place at Illinois State University from June 7-9, 2018, and has been dedicated to the memory of Charlie Harris.  The late Professor Harris was the ISU department chair who hired David Foster Wallace and one of the most important supporters of our conference.

Charlie Harris was one of the most important supporters of the DFW Conference.  He provided guidance and encouragement to keep the organization running.
Scrapper's Film Group filmed footage for their documentary on the conference, completion expected in Fall 2018.

DFW17 Panel Schedule

The Fourth Annual David Foster Wallace Conference took place from June 8-10, 2017, at the campus of Illinois State University.  Highlights of the conference included:

  • Our keynote by Jeffrey Severs, author of David Foster Wallace's Balancing Books: Fictions of Value.
  • A live production of The Great Concavity Podcast by Matt Bucher and David Laird, featuring guests Charlie Harris and Jim Plath.
  • Our first Diversity Roundtable, featuring Andrea Sheridan, Danielle Ely, and Ryan Lackey, moderated by Diego Báez.
  • A rather nondescript game of Eschaton on a nearby basketball court.
